First Reformed Church of Hull manages seven different accounts:

General Fund

Major contributors to the general fund are weekly offerings, envelope offerings and the Thanksgiving Day offering. This fund is used for salaries and benefits, RCA and Classis assessments, church and parsonage utilities and office supplies. In 2005, the new hymnals were purchased from this fund.

Looking forward, other possible expenditures include a video projection system and updated sound equipment.

Benevolent Fund

Christ in the GardenMajor contributors to the benevolent fund are envelope offerings, special offerings such as those during Communion Sunday and designated plate offerings. This fund is used for RCA and Classis assessments, missionary shares, special offering designations and youth education expenses for events such as Rocky Mountain High and youth camps.

Building Fund

Major contributors to the building fund are the monthly offering on the second Sunday of the month and envelope or plate designations. This fund is used for large building projects or expenses, such as the organ, the windows, tuck pointing and the roof project.

Future plans include a car port and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) repairs.

Education Fund

Major contributors to the education fund are the monthly offering on the fifth Sunday of the month, envelope or plate designations, Sunday school offerings and Family Night offerings. This fund is used for Sunday school and Family Night curriculum materials and for one-half of the missionary share for Bruce De Jong.

Christian Outreach Fund

Major contributors to the Christian outreach fund are various fundraisers such as the spaghetti supper and the pork barbeque, envelope or plate designations and a general fund transfer each year. The fund is used for various church mission projects such as Project Hospitality and the meal at The Banquet.

Christian Care Fund

Major contributors to the Christian care fund are envelope or plate designations and the occasional Communion offering. The fund is used for families in need in our church and our community.

Memorial Fund

Major contributors to the memorial fund are gifts from estates and contributions that are not specifically designated. The fund is used for requests from various committees and fills needs not otherwise met.
