Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for all ages:

  • Primary Department
Sunday School ClassOur primary department includes 3 years olds through second graders. Highlights are singing, reading Bible stories and celebrating birthdays by placing pennies signifying the child's age in a special mission birthday cake. Children receive a small gift on their birthdays until first grade, when they receive a New Testament. Second graders as a group are presented with their first Bible during a special worship service.

  • Intermediate Department
The intermediate department includes third through sixth grades. Children participate in opening exercises of music and study Bible lessons that center on doctrine.

  • Junior High & High School Department
Junior high and high school classes focus on studying the Bible and applying its principles to their lives.

  • Adult
Different classes are available for adults. Past classes include studies of contemporary issues, the Sunday School Guide, parenting, marriage and more. Nursery services are available during the Sunday school hour so everyone has the opportunity to attend.

Family Night

Bible study is provided for students grades 1-12 at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Grades 1-6 are involved in a Bible club called Adventure Club. Grades 7-12 have age-appropriate Bible study as well, typically centered on the beliefs of the church. Older students are also invited to Party with the Pastor, a time of game playing, studying and "hanging out" during Family Night.

The youth choirs also meet during this time. The youth choirs are:

  • Cherub Choir, grades 1-3
  • Sonshine Choir, grades 4-6

Junior and senior high students are welcome to participate in Sanctuary Choir and Praise Teams.

More information about the youth choirs can be found on the page about music ministries.

Youth Fellowship

We have a thriving youth fellowship program.

  • ROCK (formerly Senior RCYF)
  • ROCK stands for Reaching Out for Christ the King. The group meets on Sunday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Participants discuss relevant topics for young Christians. Rocky Mountain High, a Christian retreat held in Colorado every 3 years, is a highlight of ROCK. The members are involved in various projects and fundraisers throughout the year to help fund their trip to Rocky Mountain High. These young people are an important part of our church fellowship.

Each year a retreat is held, and each February the students lead a Youth Sunday service. ROCK provides a great opportunity for young people to grow spiritually in the church.

  • IMPACT (formerly Junior RCYF)
IMPACT (Improving My Personal Awareness of Christ's Truth) includes 7th and 8th grade students. They meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 7:00 p.m. This is a time to build relationships with God and one another. A highlight for this group is Power Connection and Work Camp, held every other year.

Vacation Bible School

During the first full week of June, all children in the community from age 4 through 6th grade can participate in Vacation Bible School. The children and volunteers meet each day for Bible lessons, crafts, music and fun. The week ends with a program at our church.
