First Reformed Church Of Hull

About First Reformed Church

At FRC we know that finding a church to belong to can be really difficult.

That’s why our congregation seeks to be a safe place where you and your family can worship, build relationships, discover who God is, and grow deeper in your faith. There is no dress code or pressure to give money.

We won’t ask why you are here. We will just be glad that you are.

Biblical Literacy / Spiritual Vitality / Personal Witness / Community Transformation

In the years ahead, FRC will relentlessly equip its members with the skills and opportunities needed to more clearly understand the Bible. FRC is committed to the ongoing development of its already vibrant and energizing church culture, worship services, and life giving church programming.

Additionally, in the coming years, FRC will intentionally invest in new mission experiences and ministry opportunities that will fan into flame the gifts of our members. We will do all of this in response of God’s call on our church to influence the city of Hull and its surrounding areas. We will not fail to strengthen our community with common-sense ministries and resources that build up our neighbors and their quality of life.

Obeying Jesus. Prioritizing People. Strengthening Our Community.

We don’t feel called to just follow Jesus; we feel called to obey him. Because let’s face it.. not everyone who claims to be a follower of Jesus is obedient to him.

We don’t feel called to just welcome people; we feel called to prioritize them. At our church, we want people to know they are valuable and that they matter deeply to us.

We don’t feel called to just support our community; we feel called to strengthen our community. We refuse to be irrelevant to our neighbors. We feel called by God, for God’s glory, to take a leading role in strengthening our community

Integrating more cross-cultural, Christ-centered relationships in northwest Iowa.

If God is gracious, and we are faithful, and what is the best that could happen? After asking this question, FRC discerned that this vision is the best that could happen. Our members believe that if we could accomplish anything with Jesus and not fail, this would be it.

In the years to come, FRC will continually discern how our congregation can bring more and more people together from diverse backgrounds and into a shared life and faith centered around Jesus.

As a “Reformed” congregation we share the historic beliefs of the ancient and universal Church summarized in a number of Creeds and Confessions from years past. These documents, we believe, provide the clearest, most hopeful, and most Biblically-authentic expression of the Christian belief and witness.  Check them out here.

In regards to authority and inspiration, we do not view these documents as co-equal with Scripture. Instead, as a Reformed congregation, we affirm that these documents are historic and faithful witnesses to God’s Word. They help to faithfully and accurately interpret the Bible in its entirety.

We share the same convictions about the Christian Scriptures, faith and life with a host of other Reformed churches within The Alliance of Reformed Churches.
