First Reformed Church Of Hull

HAITI MISSIONS

The relationship between First Reformed Church and the United Christians International in Haiti – created by JeanJean and Kristie Mompremier – began in October 2009, when the couple visited Hull and shared the stories and goals of their ministry with the congregation. A few months later, in March 2010, Arvin & Lauri Boote, Darla Vande Kamp, and Jeanne Visser visited Haiti to work alongside the Mompremiers. A partnership was born.
The Mompremiers visited FRC often, and members of the church visited UCI almost every year. The church began supporting the UCI ministry with scholarships and Christmas bags. The congregation watched UCI train pastors, plant churches, start schools, open a health clinic and provide meals for hungry kids. In September 2022, JeanJean and Kristie visited FRC on the same day that the church members packed over 106,000 meals for kids in Haiti.

Starting in 2022, FRC has joined forces with UCI again for the mission of feeding students at UCI’s schools. The Food Packing Event occurred in September 2022, and we packed more than 106,000 meals! The church plans to have another food packing event on September 10.

Mission trips to Haiti usually occur in March of every year. During this trip, missionaries will serve the people of Haiti through work, understanding the culture, and spreading the Gospel to children and adults alike.

Every year in the Fall Hull FRC is provided an opportunity to fill Christmas bags and give them to the children of Haiti for the Christmas season. Each bag contains hygiene items, clothing, toys, and other needed items for the families of these children, as they share the bags with their core family members.
