First Reformed Church Of Hull

FRC FOOD PACKING EVENT

The food packing Sunday at FRC is a morning when the whole congregation comes together to provide life-saving nutritious meals for school children in Haiti.  These meals are shipped to our ministry partners at United Christians International in Haiti, which is coordinated by JeanJean and Kristie Mompremier.
Seven mobile food packing stations are set up in the Fellowship Hall of the church and this area turns into a beehive of activity as the bags are filled with rice, beans, dried vegetables, minerals, and vitamins. Bags are then weighed, sealed, boxed, and packed onto pallets. People of all ages are invited to help out! There is a great feeling of satisfaction when that 100,000th meal is reached!
According to the United Nations, nearly one out of four children in Haiti now suffers from chronic malnutrition in this poorest of Caribbean countries, with more than 115,000 children undernourished to a life-threatening degree. FRC is called to feed the hungry. Packing meals is one way we can help the most needy!
